On Sunday, March 16, 2025, Jacob “Jake” Henry Popson, 19, of Brookville, Pennsylvania, died from injuries he received in an automobile accident.
Jake was intrepid and willing to try everything. Jake was much more than his passions for hunting, fishing, biking, and demo derby. He was often outside with his family or friends, causing mischief wherever he went. He gave his all to everyone and everything in his immediate vicinity.
Jake was regarded as a beloved son, brother, grandson, and friend by those who had the honor of knowing him. Along with his sense of humor and devotion to his family and friends, this young guy was well-known for being kind and vivacious. Jake’s family and friends were very important to him, therefore he would often check in on them.
Jake’s charm would brighten any space and he genuinely made life enjoyable. He was always the light of the party and was renowned for being a “jokester and a prankster.” Even when you were shouting at him, he somehow managed to make you grin.
Jake had a wonderful, close-knit group of pals that were like family. He would undoubtedly always defend them or be available to them at any time if they needed him. Additionally, this group of friends were sincere, always supported him, and devoted to the connection they had formed for the rest of their lives.
Funeral Plans
Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, from 2 pm – 5 pm and 6 pm – 8 pm at the First Church of God, 201 Freedom Lane, Brookville, PA 15825. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, beginning at 11:00 am, and officiated by Pastor Sam Wilson.
Interment will take place privately. All arrangements have been entrusted to the Carrier Funeral Home, 2834 Maplevale, Rd., Brookville, PA 15825.
