Kat Habrukowich, known for her work on Comic Trips (2015), Shooting Clerks (2019), and Comic Book Men (2012), has sadly passed away on Monday, March 17, 2025.
A beloved figure in the comic book and pop culture community, Kat’s enthusiasm for collecting, storytelling, and connecting with fellow fans made her a cherished presence both online and in person. Through Comic Trips, she and her partner took audiences on nostalgic journeys through comic book shops, toy stores, and conventions, sharing their love for all things geek culture. Her genuine passion and charismatic personality resonated deeply with fans, making her a standout voice in the collector community.
According to Paul from Comic Trips, “…It is such a shocking, bewildering, and downright tragic thing to have to say on here especially considering we have all but ghosted these pages for nearly 6 years now as our lives went in completely different directions post- Comic Trips…but to say “she’s gone” just doesn’t feel real, and I still don’t think it has sunk in…”
Beyond her work on screen, Kat was admired for her warmth, humor, and kindness. She had a remarkable ability to bring people together, whether through her adventures in Comic Trips, her contributions to Shooting Clerks, or her interactions with fans and friends.
The loss of Kat is deeply felt by her loved ones, fans, and the comic book community. She leaves behind a legacy of joy, laughter, and an enduring love for the stories and characters that bring people together.
Our hearts and thoughts go out to Kat’s family, friends, and all who were touched by her vibrant spirit.
